Our Story
Every business has a beginning. Ours grew from an early connection to the agarbatti industry, family experience and a passion for fragrance.
In 1985, while studying, Gopirangnath became familiar with the agarbatti industry through his family's home-based work for the already established Jwala Agarbatti company in Mysuru. This early experience introduced him to the traditional craft of incense making and inspired his interest in the industry.
Between 1996 and 2006, experience in CNC engineering brought valuable knowledge of precision, consistency and manufacturing processes. These experiences helped shape a vision that brought traditional agarbatti-making knowledge together with modern manufacturing practices.
In 2023, SHRESHT PURE AGARBATTI was established, marking an important step in this journey.
Today, the business focuses on manufacturing and supplying both hand-made and machine-made agarbatti products, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, quality and a diverse range of fragrances for retail, wholesale and business requirements.
Our journey continues with a commitment to preserving traditional values while embracing thoughtful manufacturing practices.

From Early Inspiration to SHRESHT
1985
Early Inspiration
Gopirangnath became familiar with the agarbatti industry through his family's home-based work for Jwala Agarbatti in Mysuru. This early experience introduced him to the traditional craft of incense making.
1996–2006
CNC Engineering Experience
Sham Sundar and Gopirangnath worked as CNC Engineers, gaining valuable knowledge of precision, consistency and manufacturing processes.
2007
Business Registration
The business was registered as SHREST TECHNOLOGIES INC.

SHRESHT PURE AGARBATTI was established, marking an important step in this journey — beginning with a team of six members and a foundation built on practical experience, product-making and a focus on quality.

A Considered Approach
The company is trying to minimize plastic consumption where possible and make greater use of eco-friendly products and packaging options where practical.
Burning time varies by product: camphor burns for approximately 3–4 minutes, dhoop for approximately 20–45 minutes, while incense products may range from approximately 30 to 120 minutes. According to the company's product experience, fragrance may remain noticeable for several hours after burning — results vary by product range.
